Abstract

3D scan of a gharial skull (Gavialis gangeticus). Complete skulls of these animals are very rare, which makes this object quite special. These reptiles are domestic to Nepal and India and live in freshwater rivers. The gharial is one of the longest crocodiles and has the longest snout in relation to the size of its head. Even though their appearance may give another impression, these fish-eaters are no threat to humans.

Usage Notes

This dataset consists of two 3D models - the skull and mandible - with three files (OBJ, MTL and PNG texture) each.
